You’ll receive cordial welcome upon arrival at Danang airport. Transfer to hotel for check in. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Hoi An.
We pay a morning visit to the capital and religious centre of the former Champa Kingdom, My Son. There in a lush green valley 40km southwest of Hoian, stands dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries.
Afternoon, on foot we explore Hoian town, visit Hoian museum, old merchants’ house, assembly hall and Japanese covered Bridge. Enjoy leisurely walking along the bank of the lively Thu Bon River, once a prosperous and famous trading port.
Depart to Tra Que Vegetable Village (3kms far from Hoian) by bicycle.
It is time for you to experience a day of living and working with the local farmers in this village. A tour of the organic vegetable and herb gardens can include some time working in the field if you like, or merely observing and learning about the system and the fresh ingredients. Back to Tra Que’s family house, you will be working together with our family chef to learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food. Followed by a well-deserved break to savour the dishes you have prepared. After lunch, cycling back to Hoi An.
Free until transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
