Hue has a diverse and scenically beautiful landscape. Visitors discover dozens of handicraft villages, with annual festivals that are often organized months in advance.
Hue is also an important center of Buddhism. In and around Hue are dozens of pagodas constructed more than 300 years ago. Some of these temples were built in the late 19th early 20th centuries.
Hue Citadel has been recognized as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO since December 1993, Hue Royal Musical (Nha nhac) has been declared as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage since November 2003.
Hue has its own renowned style of cuisine which is especially hot and spicy. Many unique Asian recipes originate from here.
